Poland will tighten migration policy because of refugees from Ukraine
The Polish government will reconsider its migration policy towards refugees.
According to Ukrinform, Warsaw was forced to take such measures because of "economic migrants from Ukraine."
"On my initiative, the Council of Ministers annulled the document" The Migration Policy of Poland, "because it did not correspond to the problems facing our country, and did not take into account the migration crisis that Europe was facing," Polish Interior Minister Mariusz Blaszczak said.
In turn, the deputy head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Poland, Jakub Skiba, stressed that the previous document did not give an opportunity to adequately respond to the "migration crisis and economic migration from Ukraine." According to him, Poland needs to begin the division of refugees and economic migrants, as well as change the policy regarding economic migrants from Ukraine.
Earlier in Wroclaw, two rallies were held simultaneously: "for" and "against" Ukraine. According to Polish nationalists, Ukrainians hamper the development of the economy by the fact that they are ready to work for a lower salary, leaving the Poles without highly paid work. At the same time, the countermeeting was about the hospitality of the Poles and the necessary integration of Ukrainians in Poland.
