From July 1, Ukraine will take exams on new exam questions on road safety
June 30, 2017 The Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs presented new exam questions on knowledge of the Road Traffic Rules, which, from July 1, will take exams to obtain a driver's license. Also, from now on, checking your exam preparation can be free of charge on the official website of the GC of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Updating the theoretical part of the exam is one of the crucial steps in introducing new standards for examinations to obtain driving licenses. Now a person will not be faced with such issues as: category mismatch, low quality of image on illustrative material to the question, will not make mistakes in the cases of two correct answers, complicated or confusing wording.
"In the new tests, the issues were updated, corrected in accordance with the current situation on the roads, more attention was paid to the practical skills that will be needed by future drivers while driving a vehicle. In addition, the questions were grouped according to the categories of driver's license. Thus, drivers of cars, for example, will not have to answer questions related to the management of buses or trucks. Test questions are aimed at ensuring that a person who has studied the rules of the road could easily answer them. And by the end of 2017, it is planned to introduce enhanced control over the process of taking exams - photos and video footage "- said the head of the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Vladislav Crickley.
Other changes have not undergone the theoretical part of the exam: the test lasts 20 minutes and consists of 20 questions that are selected by the system randomly (by chance). So do not get an exam ticket right now. The test must contain questions in 4 thematic categories: 10 questions on traffic rules, 4 questions on the structure and operation of vehicles, 4 questions on the basics of traffic safety and 2 questions on the provision of the first medical aid.
An expert group was working on developing new issues, which included representatives of profile organizations for training, retraining and advanced training of drivers, specialists of public organizations of the profile and employees of the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. In total, more than 2000 issues were formulated and processed, which will eventually be updated and supplemented.
During March and April, the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs first held an open on-line discussion. In general, 10,706 Ukrainians - including teachers of specialized educational institutions and ordinary citizens - took part in the discussion. On average, about 100 offers were received every day. The expert group processed 3,500 reviews and made 800 amendments to the issues in order to eliminate the ambiguity of questions or answer options.
From July 1, citizens will also be able to openly review the tests and check their knowledge on the website of the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the first time in online mode.
And after completing the training at the educational institution for the training and retraining of drivers, it's safe to go to an examination to the service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. As of June 2017, the cost of compiling theoretical and practical exams is 26 hryvnias, and the driver's license form is 201 hryvnias. So, all employees of the service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs pay attention to the fact that it is not necessary to address to third parties who may be misleading or deceived in receiving this service.
