Arsen Avakov: Three police regiments of special police police in Dnepropetrovsk region are suspended from performing their duties
The Commission of the National Police, headed by the head of the Department of Homeland Security, provided the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the National Police with preliminary information about the course of the official investigation of the events of May 9 near the monument of Glory in the city of Dnepr. This is today, May 15, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov said.
According to him, according to the initial results of the investigation, three police regiments of the special police of the GU NP in the Dnipropetrovsk region committed unlawful actions that contain signs of criminal offenses.
"To provide them with a legal assessment, the materials on the actions of these policemen are sent to the prosecutor's office," Arsen Avakov said.
He added that for the period of completion of the official investigation these three policemen will be suspended from the service.
"Separately, an assessment will be made of the actions of the police leaders who must ensure public order during mass events," the Interior Minister stressed.
