Arsen Avakov met with the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan
The meeting was held within the framework of the official visit of Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Japan. Arsen Avakov, and Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan Nobuo Kishi discussed the process of reforming the judicial system of Ukraine.
The second day of the visit of Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Japan began with the fruitful meeting with Mr. Nobuo Kishi. Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan expressed his high praise of police reform in Ukraine, announced the intention to further support its implementation.
In turn, Arsen Avakov said that the support of the Government of Japan will improve as a system of interaction between law enforcement agencies with the population, as well as IT-system that will help ensure a high level of services to citizens.
The two sides also discussed the difficult situation in the east of Ukraine and in the Kurile Islands. Interior Minister of Ukraine expressed readiness to support Japan. Arsen Avakov said that Ukraine and Japan should join efforts in the fight for the integrity of the borders of our countries.
