First results of national preventive measures "Migrant"

During the first week of conducting nationwide preventive measures "Migrant", bodies and units of the State Migration Service of Ukraine identified about 80 foreign citizens who were in the territory of the state with unregulated status (illegally, illegally, did not leave after the established term of stay, etc.). Regarding all offenders, decisions were taken on compulsory return to the country of origin or to a third country. In addition, lawsuits against their forced removal from Ukraine were satisfied with 21 individuals.

On October 21, 2017, as a result of the development of the territory of the city of Kyiv, three Georgian citizens who were on the territory of Ukraine were found to violate the migration law by joint efforts of law enforcement agencies and the State Migration Service.

It was clarified that in relation to two citizens of Georgia, on the submission of the competent authorities, the territorial authorities of the LCA in September this year were canceled residence permits and canceled the relevant credentials. In the statutory term, these persons have not left the territory of Ukraine. Another citizen of Georgia for a long time stayed in the state illegally, without legal means of subsistence.

With regard to all of these violators of migration law, a territorial subdivision of the LCA made a decision on compulsory return and monitored its implementation.
