The border guards were detained at night in Transcarpathia, a citizen of Italy and a Romanian citizen without documents

Two travelers - a 23-year-old man and an 18-year-old girl were detained at midnight border guards of the Chop detachment near the railway crossing "Chop (Friendship)".

For their trip, they chose a rather non-standard route, trying to cross the border across the railway bridge across the Tisza River on foot. However, the fierce plan of the perpetrators failed, because they immediately discovered the boundary dress of the department "Chop".

There were no documents detained by them, but they were presented as a citizen of Italy and a citizen of Romania. As they later explained to law enforcement officers, the boy invited the girl to get acquainted with his mother, who lives in Kyiv.

The two offenders were taken to a temporary detention center of the Chop border guard unit to find out all the circumstances and prepare the relevant procedural documents. After the establishment of the person, the detainees will be brought to administrative responsibility under Part 2 of Art. 204-1 KupАP "Violation or attempted violation of the state border" and returned to the territory of Hungary in readmission.
