A meeting of the Steering Committee of the project on the development of the system of migration management in Ukraine was held in Kyiv
Today in Kiev, a regular meeting of the Steering Committee of the project aimed at developing the system of migration management in Ukraine was held.
The main objective of the project is to bring the Ukrainian migration management system and work with asylum-seekers in line with European and international standards, in particular by developing institutional and technical capabilities and deploying the Integrated Migration Information Management System (MISM).
The initiators seek to improve the state policy, legal and regulatory framework for migration and asylum seekers to promote institutional change. Also, the task of the program participants is to increase the effectiveness of the State Border Service and the Migration Service of Ukraine, in particular by providing equipment and IT solutions in the field of management of migration processes and border control processes, including integrated and modern ISUMI.
To ensure the primary needs of the SBGS, the deployment of the new integrated system involves the transfer of 28 computer workstations and 28 servers for the Lviv, Mostytsia, Chop, Mukachevo and Chernivtsi border units.
After installation and configuration, this equipment will enable the automated data exchange between units in real time and will support the processes of centralized accumulation and storage of information, including biometric data. Also, new equipment will facilitate the exchange of information with state agencies through the "Arkan" system.
According to the speakers, some of the equipment has already been received, in addition, a technical task has been processed for the analysis of business processes in the field of migration management.
Recall that the European Union is a donor of the project "Support for Migration Management in Ukraine". The total budget of the program is 27.2 million euros. The completion of its implementation is envisaged by the end of 2019.
