The EU agreed a declaration on workers
Despite the resistance, EU leaders adopted a final document aimed at solving the problem of migrants.
At the EU summit declaration was made on resolving migration crisis.
The EU announced its commitment to the agreement with Turkey, without specifying whether the canceled visa regime for the citizens of this country.
It was also approved an agreement with the five North African countries to jointly combat illegal migration.
EU ready to allocate additional funding to modernize Libya's maritime border service, and Malta - to create a database migration control in the Mediterranean.
In addition, the credit program was approved by the European Investment Bank for the Balkan countries. Funds should go to strengthening the borders.
However, the summit had not reached consensus on a common policy on asylum. The application is limited to a declaration that the policy should be common to all EU countries and that the EU will make every effort to achieve consensus in the future.
Note that previous EU steps in this direction were blocked by decisions of national courts of Hungary and Slovakia, and later Poland. The paper separately indicated that the future agreement must take into account the position of these countries.
Earlier it was reported that elected UN Secretary General Ant?nio Guterres called for the creation of an effective system of distribution of refugees.
