In the Ministry of Justice with the participation of representatives of the Venice Commission discussed the bills on guarantees freedom of assembly
The Ministry of Justice held a meeting with representatives of the Ministry of Justice, the European Commission "For Democracy through Law" (Venice Commission), Government Agent for the European Court of Human Rights, Ministry of Internal Affairs and Natspolitsiyi to discuss the draft law "On guarantees of freedom of assembly "and" on guarantees of freedom of peaceful assembly in Ukraine "on their compliance with European principles and standards.
"Ukraine as a democratic country pays much attention to the legislative regulation of the process of peaceful assembly. So for us it is extremely important during the preparation of the relevant laws of the best international practices in this regard. That is why the position of the Venice Commission is very important for Ukraine and will be taken into account when passing the draft in Parliament ", - said Deputy Justice Minister Anton Yanchuk.
Participants shared their views on bills and make comments on the proposed text. Representatives of the Venice Commission expressed readiness to prepare conclusions and proposals that will ensure the realization of the Ukrainian legislation the best examples of European experience in this area.
