International meeting in Geneva
Dean of the Faculty of Journalism of the National University "Odessa Law Academy" PhD in Social Communications, Professor Tatiana Kuznetsova took part in the international seminar "The role of the media in preventing and combating the propaganda of national, racial and religious hatred", which took place on October 19-20 in Geneva under the auspices of the United Nations High Commissioner for human Rights.
During the seminar, which was held in Geneva of the UN Nations Houses, the journalists made a review of the legal framework of their respective countries, which regulates the legal and ethical standards in journalism. For journalists the presentation of their own experience in solving the problem of "hate speech" in the media were made by experts from Spain and Norway, as well as representatives of the European Commission against Racism and Intolerance of the Council of Europe and the Section to prevent racial discrimination by the UN Human Rights High Commissioner's Office.
Tatyana Kuznetsova as the international expert made a statement reviewing the problem of "hate speech" in the modern information environment and suggested ways to overcome it.
