Recently on the evening news Poltava television studio "City" and channel "Ltava" broadcast video stories dedicated to biometric documents.
During the broadcast Tereshchenko Natalia, Chief of Public Relations and Media Migration Service in Poltava region told journalists about the benefits of biometric documents, including a passport in the form of ID-card.
During the interview stressed that Ukraine passport is mandatory from the age of 14. This service is free for the first persons of 14-18 years of age and only the place of registration. Ukraine passport "old" model in the form of booklets under the current legislation has unlimited duration and shall remain in force, so its change to a biometric is not mandatory.
Members also received information about the terms of manufacturing, expiry date and the list of documents required for registration of a biometric passport.
Last year Migration Service territorial units of Ukraine in Poltava region accepted 6937 applications for a passport in the form of ID-card. January 2017 - 1427.
