Master Class on Mediation
On October 9, 2017, the Master's Class of the Honored Lawyer of Ukraine, the Vice-President of the Ukrainian Academy of Mediation, the Chairman of the Standards Committee of the National Association of Mediators of Ukraine, the Candidate of Legal Sciences, the Associate Professor of the Department of Economic Law and the Process of the National University "Odesskaya Yuridichnaia" took place in the Main Territorial Department of Justice in the Odesa Region. academy ", a lawyer-mediator of the German Bar Academy Louise Dzhumberovna Romanadze.
The master class was devoted to the theme "Mediation and mediation skills as an effective tool in the hands of a modern lawyer", which proved to be quite interesting for more than 35 lawyers and lawyers in the city of Odessa and the Odessa region.
Mykola Stanischuk, Head of the Main Territorial Department of Justice in Odesa Oblast, opened the event and introduced the lecturer to all the attendees:
"Mediation is one of the most popular forms of conflict resolution. As an alternative to litigation and other forceful events, mediation has a number of benefits that you will be discussing today. I expect that the master class will be extremely useful and interesting and will be one of the first to start justice to increase legal awareness of Odessa lawyers. "
Louisa Djumbervna held a master class on a highly professional level using a large arsenal of material for presenting the audience and for more than two hours kept their attention on the topic of structured negotiations. However, most of the audience did not notice how to spend time, because the material presented was secured by a well-prepared presentation of topics, examples and tasks on mediation.
The lawyer-mediator, in an accessible form, described the principles, benefits and stages of mediation, reviewed in detail all mediation techniques and areas where they can be directly applied.
"I would draw your attention to the fact that not every mediation or negotiation is mediation. Mediation is necessarily structured negotiations with the participation of professionally trained mediators, "the lecturer emphasized.
Among the invited students, most of the staff was staffed by centers and offices for the provision of free secondary legal aid and attorneys working in this area. The latter, as the most interested in the correct use of all mediation tools, were the category of lawyers who asked the most specific and detailed questions.
lecturer Moreover, it was the lawyers who modeled one of the situations that could be resolved through mediation. Louisa Djumbervna explained clearly, transparently and easily how the mediator-professional should have been in this particular situation.
The lecture of the advocate-mediator ended with violent applause and requests to have at least another lecture, and if possible hold them within a certain course.
We hope that cooperation between the regional administration of justice and the Honored Lawyer of Ukraine in the future will indeed have a regular educational character.
