Working visit of ODA to town Balta, Odesa oblast
December 17th chairman of the Odessa Regional State Administration Mikhail Saakashvili and his first deputy Vladimir Zhmak working visit to the city of Balta, Odesa oblast, where they held a meeting of the "round table" on "Discussion modernization of housing and energy efficiency." The meeting was also attended by Chairman of Balta District Administration Oles Wind and Balta Mayor Sergei Mazur and representatives of business and community northern districts of Odessa region.
At the meeting were discussed the following issues:
- Creation of agency energy conservation;
- Thermal insulation of buildings by enerhomodernizatsiyi;
- The need to count the reasonableness of tariffs and full control over the transparency of tariffs;
- The creation of an ombudsman to protect the rights of the consumer.
Mikheil Saakashvili stressed the importance of attracting investors with public money to modernize roads, sewerage, water supply, and the need to make the process transparent pricing tariffs.
The "old" equipment requires large resources of energy that in turn spent on the cost of services to the public (consumption of water, heat, etc.), so eventually meeting it was decided that local communities and district administrations will work primarily on upgrading housing and meter installations which will significantly save on consumption.
